Booking terms 

• Each session is for a singular class only in order to optimise learning value

• The minimum call out is 3 sessions per booking of the same activity

• Maximum 6-7 sessions in a single school day

• All equipment and materials are included in cost

• Contact me to arrange visits to teacher PD days

• Activities are suitable for all age groups, except the “Nude your food” workshop

“Rethinking organic waste”

Talk and activity
Talking through life and lives of compost worms. Then a play with worms and re-group to discuss findings.

“Compost in a bottle”
Talk and activity
Learn the compost process and then put together ingredients in a clear bottle.
Watch the magic over 6 or 7 weeks and then plant into it.
Time - 35min

“Compost in a bin or pile“
Talk and activity
Learn the compost process and then set up a bin or heap.
Time - 35min
Cost - $600 for 3 x classes, $100 for each additional class  

“Instant garden beds”
Talk and activity
Learn the compost process and set up a garden bed with each class using ‘waste’ materials.
Time - 35min
Cost - $600 for 3 x classes, $100 for each additional class 

”Where does it go?”

Talk and activity
Description of where to put stuff we don’t need including but not limited to local bin system. Final message always on ‘reduction’.
Time - 35min- 1 hour (longer time includes ‘Bin race’)

“Nude your food”

Talk and activity
Discussing school lunch boxes and what a nude-no-packaging box would look like. Students pack a box and discuss how close they got to nude, then brainstorm how to let the rest of the school know the message.
Time - 40min
Cost - $600 for 3 x classes, $100 for each additional class

Please note: the “Nude your food“ activity is suitable for Year 4 and above.

“Making Beeswax Wraps”

Talk and activity

Discuss what are ‘single use’ materials, why we should try and reduce them. Then all students make a wrap to take home. (All materials supplied)

Time- 1 hour (depends on number and age of students)

Cost- $600 for 3 x classes, $100 for each additional class

Specially suitable for School Holiday Activity

”Wonderful World of Worms”
Talk and activity
Talking through life and lives of compost worms. Then a play with worms and re-group to discuss findings. Make a paper pot with soil and worm castings. Take home a plant
Time - 50 min $450

“Making A Nude Lunch and Beeswax Wraps”

Talk and activity

Discuss what are ‘single use’ materials, why we should try and reduce them. Then all pack a ‘nude’ lunch’, then make a beeswax wrap to take home, with a raw treat. (All materials supplied)

Time- 1 hour (depends on number and age of participants) $450

“Create a bug from junk”

Using materials collected from REmida reuse centre interesting bugs are created and ready to take home. $450
